What I actually check
Once a month, on your site, and then I write you a page about it in plain English.
Every month
- Your contact form really delivers. Not "the form submits". I send one through and confirm it arrives where you think it goes. This is the single most common thing I find broken.
- The site is up and fast enough, on a phone as well as a laptop, because most of your customers are on a phone.
- The certificate is valid and renewing, so the browser never tells a customer your site is unsafe.
- Your phone number, hours, and address match what Google shows. These drift, and a wrong number costs calls silently.
- Nothing broke since last month. I keep the previous report and compare, so you get told what changed rather than a fresh wall of text.
And up to an hour of fixes
Small things, included: a form pointed at the right inbox, a broken link, a stale price, a plugin that needs updating, an auto-reply that never got set up. If it takes twenty minutes, I just do it and tell you afterwards.
Anything bigger, I quote separately after looking. You will get a number and a reason before any work starts, and you can say no.
What the report looks like
One page. What I checked, what was fine, what was not, and what I would do about it. If nothing is wrong it says so in two lines, and that is a good month, not a wasted one.
No dashboard to log into. No score out of a hundred. Nobody has ever made a business decision because their site scored 82.
Who this suits
- Trades and service businesses where the website is how people first reach you, and nobody's actual job is to watch it.
- Between about two and thirty people. Smaller and it is probably not worth $125 a month. Bigger and you likely have somebody in-house.
- Anywhere. The check is remote, so distance does not matter. I am near Dallas if that comes up.
Who this does not suit
If your site is brand new, or you already have somebody maintaining it, or you get no business through the web at all, this is not worth your money and I will tell you so. I would rather lose the sale than have you paying for something that is not doing anything.
